In Kershaw District, an the 13th ult., by the Rev. J. A. Fonville, Mr. A. McDowell, to Miss Mary A. Reeves, daughter of Mr. Robert Reeves.
Findagrave lists him buried in the McLean Cemetery in Darlington County, born 22 Jun 1804, died 1 Feb 1873. His wife "E. C. Reaves" is buried there and states "wife of Robert Reaves." Wife may have been a daughter of David Kelly who died in 1838. He is buried in the same cemetery and Robert Reeves was a buyer at his estate sale in Darlington.
Research Notes
Formerly surmised to be connected to the Timothy Rives family who also lived in Kershaw County, However, given his apparent connection to Darlington County, it's likely this Robert was the orphaned son of Robert Reaves mentioned in his estate account.Although spelled various ways in different records, the family eventually used "Reaves" as the surname most consistently.
