Narrative

Baptism from Pleshey, Holy Trinity, Essex Parish Registers:
  • (Born) May 4 1896 | 1896 July 5 | Bertie Joseph | Samuel & Emma | Reeve | Pleshey | Labourer | Ch. Wm. Harris

1901 census says he was born in Great Waltham where the family was living at the time, but the 1911 census says Pleshey, which is almost certainly correct.

Bertie was in the Essex Regiment during World War I. The Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects states that Bertie died "23 12 15" at Tring.
