According to the 1939 England and Wales Register, Samuel and Emma were living as retirees at Orchard Cottage in Chelmsford. His birthdate is recorded as 25 June 1869. Emma's as 2 June 1868. Their son Frederick G. Reeve was living there as well working the land. His birthdate is listed as 10 March 1890.
