Research Notes
In an 1828 deed, Daniel and Elizabeth Reeve of Livingston sold land inherited from Daniel's father Benjamin.He was listed next to Isaac Reeve in 1830 (alphabetically). In 1840, he was listed next to William Reeve, presumably his brother. Augustus Elliot was living with them in 1850, probably Elizabeth's father.
Daniel mentions appointed his son Stephen D. Reeve who resided in New York as executor to his will.
Daniel his buried in the Northfield Baptist Cemetery. His headstone reads: "Deacon Daniel Reeve/Died/Sept. 15, 1853/in the 70th year of his age/Sarah Ann/daughter of Daniel & Elizabeth/Reeve/Died Apr. 10, 1854/Aged 21 Years"
There is a widow's pension record from the War of 1812 for Elizabeth E. Reeves, widow of Daniel Reeve. She stated her former name was Elizabeth E. Elliot and they were married 23 Nov 1823 at Springfield, Essex County, New Jersey by Augustus Elliot. And that Daniel died 15 Sep 1853 at Livingston, New Jersey. Elizabeth was living in Hemlock City, Saginaw County, Michigan in 1878 when she filed the claim. She moved to Michigan in 1869.
