REEVE - 27th ult. at his residence, Chipping Ongar, Edward Reeve, Esq., in his 82nd year.

From the National Probate Calendar, 1867:
REEVE Edward Esq. Effects under £1,500. 21 May. The Will of Edward Reeve late of Chipping Ongar in the County of Essex Esquire deceased who died 27 March 1867 at Chipping Ongar aforesaid was proved at the Principal Registry by the oath of the Reverend Edward James Reeve of Stondon Massey in the County aforesaid Clerk the Son the sole Executor.

Research Notes

A blog article from 2011 notes some items contributed to a collection including books, diaries, and some writings of the Reeve families. According to the article, this included "The commonplace book of Captain Edward Reeve (1785-1867). He wrote this manuscript at The White House, Ongar, in about 1860. Edward Reeve purchased the Rectory for himself and the advowson for his clergyman son Edward James for £700 in 1849."
