From Allegations for Marriage Licences Issued by the Vicar-general of the Archbishop of Canterbury:
- (1683) Nov. 20 John Reeve, of Harlow, Essex, Gent., Widr, abt 60, & Elizabeth Dauges, of Lowton in sd coy, Wid., abt 62, alleged by Henry Hales, of St Peter le Poor, London., Mercht; at Hawlor or Lowton
Marriage from Loughton, St Nicholas (Later St John The Baptist), Essex Parish Registers:
- (1683) Married Novembr ye 22d John Reeve & Elisabeth Dawger License
John's will names the above four children. It also mentions money due by his wife Elizabeth's "Daughter (blank) Barrington widdow late wife of John Barrington Esquier Deceased." The will also mentioned a Letitia as a sister of Ann. It's not clear if she was still living or if she was a full sister. The will of Wiltshire Reeve mentions her as his sister as well.
His will also mentions his "houses & tenements ... in white chappell in the County of Middlesex." Further research is needed to see whether he may have been from that area.
