An analysis of deed records reveals his wife's name was Mary. The full name of all these children are given in the baptismal records of First Pres. Church in Middletown, New York. They were baptized 7 Dec 1825. The death certificate for son John appears to give the maiden name of his mother Mary as Finn. This fits well with the middle name they gave their son William.

The estate packet of John C. Reeve shows that Elisha Reeve of Calhoun "is the Brother of John C Reeve who died at the Town of Wallkill in said County, leaving a widow & infant children, on or about the fourth day of July last." John died intestate.

Administration on John C. Reeve's estate was granted to Henry B. Wisner on 31 Aug 1826.
