Narrative

Jonathan is named as a son of Anne Reeves, widow in a deed from her dated 1710. Although he is not named in Walter's will, there is an entry for him in the estate account for Walter. He is not mentioned in his mothers will from 1732 either as he was deceased at the time.

Jonathan's will mentions his wife Mary and his "wifes son Matthew Hewlings" who was under the age of 21. It appears Mary was probably married previously to a Mr. Hewlings. He also mentions his cousins Ester and Solomon Curtiss and his brother Walter Reeves. The inventory of Jonathan Reeve's estate is dated 23 Aug 1726 and the will was proven 25 August.

Jonathan appears to be deceased by late 1727 as there is a deed from a Thomas Budd to a widow Mary Reves dated 3 Nov 1727 in Burlington County. Mary gave/sold this land to her son Matthew Hewlings some months later.
