Lawrence lived in Writtle, Essex and wrote his will on 2 Oct 1643. It was probated on 14 Nov 1649. In it he mentions land in Writtle and High Easter. The following individuals are named:
  • Lawrence Reeve my eldest sonne
  • my sonne Richard Reeve
  • my sonne Thomas Reeve
  • my daughter Margaret Reeve
  • my sonnes Abraham Reeve and Robert Reeve
  • Jone Reeve my wife
  • James Reeve and to Joane Reeve the sonne and daughter of my sonn Lawrence Reeve

Lawrence also refers to his wife Joane as the grandmother of James and Joane, the children of his eldest son Lawrence. So presumably she was the mother of all Lawrence's children.

Although Lawrence's burial seems to be missing, Joane's appears to be recorded in the Writte register:
  • (1649) 30 October Joane Reve widdowe

Either this Lawrence or his son is referred to in the following Session Rolls records:
  • Recognizance of Robert Yuxfeild baker and Lawr. Reeve yeoman; Yuxfeild to keep the peace to John Munck shoemaker; all of Writtle. (9 Jul 1641, Q/SR 313/68)
  • Recognizance of Lawr. Reeve and John Fletcher yeoman; Reeve to answer for contempt in not serving a warrant upon Helen Luckyn to him being directed (being constable) from one of the justices; all of Writtle. (8 Apr 1642, Q/SR 316/61)
