Children of Luther Reeve and Elmyra Hubbard:- Mary Reeve
- Thomas Reeve, b. c1834
Luther's marriage was recorded at Cutchogue church:
- Feb 4, 1824 Luther Reeve with Almira Hubbard, alias Reeve
Baptisms from Mattituck Pres:
- 1831 Dec 4 Mary Reeve daughter of Luther Reeve at Mattit.
Luther wrote his will on 10 Jun 1842 and it was proved 6 Aug 1842. He mentioned his wife Elmira, children Mary and Thomas, and also Anson Reeve who was appointed guardian of his son,
Luther was buried at Mattituck Pres but the headstone is not very clear.
In 1850, Elmira she was a head of household in Southold, age 58. With her were Thomas (16), Daniel (60), Parnel (70), and Rastus Squire (22). Daniel and Parnel were Luther's siblings. Presumably Thomas is Luther and Elmira's son. Thomas may have been counted on the census twice as a Thomas, age 15, is listed several doors down with Anson, who was made guardian of Thomas in Luther's will.
In 1860, Elmira was in the household of Thomas (26) and Lucy H. Reeve (21). In addition to their children, there was also Louis Hawkins (24), Sebrina Reeve (60), and Harriet E Terry (18) in the household.
