Robert Reeve, the son of Aaron and Frances REEVE was baptised on 11 February 1821 in Belchamp St Paul, Essex. The Baptismal Register also notes his date of birth.

On the 1841 census Robert was still living with his parents and the family can be found on Lower Road in Belchamp St Paul. It is recorded that he is 20 years old.

This individual has yet to be identified on any subsequent English census return.

Research Notes

(1) There is another Robert Reeve, born in the neighbouring parish of Belchamp Otten just a few months prior to this individual.

(2) There is a marriage record for a Robert Reeve during 3q1842 in the Hartismere Registration District (Volume 13, Page 641), which might relate to this individual. Spouse is not named, but FreeBMD corrections indicate it was likely to be Elizabeth GOOLD.

(3) There is an 1842 criminal record for a Robert Reeve aged 21 with an estimated birth year of 1821. Trial date 25 October 1842. Location of trial Suffolk. Sentence one month imprisonment for larceny.

(4) It is unlikely this is the Robert Reeve who was buried on 14 November 1885 at Thurrton, Norfolk. The Burial Register notes his place of residence as Norton Subcourse and there is a Robert Reeve, age 60 (so born c1821) listed on the 1881 census living on Norton Street, Norton Subcourse, Norfolk. This Robert gives his place of birth as Thurton, Norfolk. (RG11, Piece 1962, Folio 104 face, Page 5, Schedule 29)
