On 1 Jun 1837, Elizabeth was granted administration on Samuel's estate. A petition was made for the sale of the land by Mary C Reeves, daughter of Samuel, to divide the land between Thomas Reeve, Elizabeth Ann Reeve, Samuel Reeve, Elwood Reeve, Levi P. Reeve, William S. Reeve, Rachel S. Reeve, John W. Reeve & Ruth Anna Reeve "children and heirs at law of Samuel Reeve." This petition was made in 1868. The land had been held in common between Samuel Reeve and a Thomas Reeve, presumably his brother, as undivided moiety.
The inventory of the estate is dated 24 May 1837 and was taken by Gideon Ferguson and Thomas Ballinger.
In 1839, the mother Elizabeth was appointed guardian of Elwood, Levi P., William S., John W., and Ruth Anna Reeve, who were under the age of 14.
There was a stone placed at some point in the Park View Cemetery in Medford, Burlington County which marks Elizabeth, Mary, Elwood and Rachel.
"Thomas Reeves, and Mary his wife, William S Reeves and Annie his wife, Levi P. Reeves Aarni Clem and Elizabeth his wife, & Rachel S. Reeve all of the Counties of Burlington and Camden and State of New Jersey, and Samuel Reeve and Jane K, his wife, & John Reeves & Sadie, his wife of Wilmington in the State of Delaware, all of whom are the heirs at law of Thomas Reeve and Samuel Reeve late of the said County of Burlington deceased" are named as heirs of either this Samuel or his brother Thomas in a deed from 1873. Thomas and Samuel's father Samuel Reeves had been deeded some land. This land fell to Thomas and Samuel in the division of real estate at their father's death. This is the land that the heirs sold in 1873. Since the children of this Samuel are named in the deed, this proves that that this Samuel was the same as Samuel, son of Samuel Reeves and Elizabeth Wright.
