The death certificate for son David Franklin Reeve from 1988 states his father was Samuel Tanner Reeve.

Huldah's name is listed as Harriet H. on the 1860 census. Her headstone gives her name as Huldah H. Reeve. The marriage record for her gives "Miss Harriet Hargus."

SAMUEL REEVE ANSWERS CALL
Samuel T. Reeve, of Edwardsport, Ind., answered the last all, Wednesday, October 1. Burial was in the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Edwardsport, Friday.
The deceased was born, November 13, 1831. He was the father of Mrs. C. W. Cockran, of this city. When the 80th Indiana volunteer infantry was organized in 1861, Reeve joined Co. C. He saw three years service with this famous regiment. Charles Brownlee, Theodore Bucklin and others, members of Co A and the old members of Co. C. were close friends of Mr. Reeve. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic.

In 1920, the widow Anna was living with her daughter Glenn Montgomery and her husband Ray.

Research Notes

The family Bible states Samuel and Huldah were married 29 Oct; however, the marriage record states they were married on the 28th and the record was recorded the same day.
