Note that Joseph's headstone states he was born "Jan. 25, 1809" while the family Bible transcription states "Jan. 25, 1808." The census consistently states he was born in Pennsylvania, while the 1880 states his parents were born in New Jersey.

The marriage entry in Indiana records for Joseph and Sarah only includes the license date with was the 10th Oct 1829.

Research Notes

Included in the Bible transcription is the following which appears to be a note from the Bible entries as well: "Joseph Reeve, sr. was murdered for his money in Philadelphia, him being a sea captain in the year 1815. his wife's maiden name was Martha Richardson her mothers maiden name was Mary Hutcheson."
