On 30 Sep 1847, Sarah petitioned to be appointed guardian "to Betsey Bielby Reeve, John Reeve, Ellen Reeve, William Albert Reeve, Richard Andrews Reeve and Henry Hutchinson Reeve the children of the said William Reeve, deceased." The probate file further states that "William Reeves late of the City of Toronto aforesaid, Gentleman, deceased, departed this life on or about the seventh day of December AD 1846 intestate." It mentions that he left a widow and six children.
William and Sarah are buried in the Cummer Burial Grounds, Toronto, Toronto Municipality, Ontario, Canada. Daughter Ann Eliza Reeve is buried by her parents. Sarah died 31 July 1893.
