The will of William Downs, dated 1769, states"

• I give and bequeath unto my two GrandSons namely John Reeve and William Reeve teen pounds a peace to be paid to them by my executors after named of my moveable estate when they shall come to the age of twenty three years...

This appears to be the William living at Manor of St George & Patent of Moritches in the 1776 census.

Research Notes

It's likely either this William or his father William is the one who died in Oct 1782 at Wading River according to the Salmon Records.

His son William may be the one listed in Paul Reeve's Milita Company from 1776.
