On 1 Nov 1863, Abner Reeves transferred to Eliza W. Miller, presumably the remarried widow of Lewis R Reeves, all his right to everything devised to him under the will of Lewis R. Reeves. The clerk of Cook County, Illinois testified to the statement.

On the 1870 census, he is listed in the household of his sister Eugene Little and her husband Jacob in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

His death record states he was born in Ohio, but the census seems to be correct in reporting that he was born in Pennsylvania.
