A delayed certificate of birth for daughter Mary Elizabeth Reeves states that her parents were Abram Smith Reeves and Susan Elvina Huston.

ABRAM S. REEVES
Abram S. Reeves, son of Jas. and Jane Elizabeth Rumerell Reeves, was born at Kirklin, Ind. September 23, 1865 and departed this life at Concordia, Kansas Friday October 6, 1939 having attained the age of 74 years and 13 days.
At the age twelve years he accompanied the family when they moved to Augusta, Kansas. At this place he was converted and publicly confessed Christ February 12, 1886 and was baptized in the White River, west of Augusta, the following Lords Day February 16, 1886.
On April 5, 1889 he was united in marriage to Susan Elivina Huston, who preceeded him May 3, 1921. To this union were born four children: Paul of Concordia Kansas, George Leroy who died in infancy, Roland B. of Ravenna, Nebr. and Mrs. Mary Briggs of Los Angeles, California.
On January 31, 1931 he was united in marriage to Clara Abbey of Concordia, Kansas who survives him.
He was set aside to the Christian Ministry in Grand View Free Baptist Church near Firth Nebraska. His entire life from that time till health broke in 1927 was devoted to the Gospel of Christ. For several years he was greatly afflicted, bearing his suffering with Christian fortitude.
At one time he was minister of the Christian Church in Burwell, Nebraska, and his ministry was of good works and exemplications.
Funeral services were held in Concordia, Kansas October 10th and a brief funeral service was held at the Burwell Cemetery in charge of Rev. Lyman Kern and Rev. W. L. Goodell. Ed Cram, Joe Gavin, Dr. Ross Wood, Guy Laverty, H. A. Petteys and J. C. Hartford acted as pallbearers.
The entire family accompanied the body to Burwell and were dinner guests at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Lyman Kem.
