Bersten (sic) - Reeves
Miss Esther Bergsten, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bergsten of Norman, and Mr. Roland B. Reeves, son of Rev. A.S. Reeves of Overton, Nebr., were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
Rev. A.S. Reeves, pastor of the Christian church at Overton and father of the groom pronounced them man and wife.
The bridal couple were attended by Miss Anna Jacobsen and Mr. Harry Bergsten.
The bride, a popular Norman girl, attended the Lincoln Business college and has since been employed at the M.M. Johnson Co. at Clay Center, Nebr.
The groom is employed by the Burlington railroad company. At the present time he is agent in Fairmont where the young couple will make their home.
Only close relatives and friends of the bride and groom witnessed the ceremony, after which a two course dinner was served by the bride's sisters.
The bride and groom left soon after for Minden where they took the train for Denver and other western points where they will sepnd (sic) their honeymoon.

Funeral For Mr. Reeves Was Held Monday, April 16 Funeral services for Mr. Roland Reeves were conducted at the Federated church in Sutton, Nebr., April 16, with the Rev. Arthur Krebs officiating.
Mr. Reeves was station agent for the Burlington railroad at Sutton, and had served in that capacity in Palmer for several years.
While a resident here, he had been very active In church and community affairs, and had been with the Burlington for 35 years.
He passed away at his home following a lingering illness on April 12.
Roland Bickford Reeves was born in a parsonage in a rural community near Haddam, Kansas to Abram S. and Susan Reeves on the 29th day of September, 1899.
His childhood was spent in Kansas, Wisconsin and Nebraska communities where his father served in the Baptist and Christian ministry.
He graduated from high school at Guide Rock. Nebr., in 1917 and served in the U. S. Army during World War I. After the war he attended Peru State Teachers College at Peru, Nebr. On the 7th of August, 1926, he was married to Esther M. Bergsten at Norman, Nebr.
He provided a Christian home for his loving wife and three children. His death brought to a close 35 years of service as telegrapher and agent for the Burlington Railroad.
He has been active in church work all his adult life, having served as Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent, and lay minister. He was a member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.
At 5:25 a.m. on the 12th of April Mr. Reeves died peacefully in his sleep after several months of illness.
He is survived by Mrs. Reeves and three children; Roland Dale of Omaha, Ruth Kemling of Evanston, Ill., and Lloyd of Crete. Nebr., his brother, Paul of Sacramento, Calif., his step mother, Mrs. Abbey Reeves of North Plainfield N. J., his sister, Mrs. Raymond Briggs of Ontario, Calif., and two grandsons, Keith and Richard Reeves of Omaha.
Memorial services were conducted by Rev. Arthur Krebs at the Federated church in Sutton and burial was in Sutton cemetery April 16 at 2:00 p.m.
