Narrative

There's an Asa/Ase/Acey Reeves listed in the 1st Regiment (Means') South Carolina Militia in the War of 1812. He entered as a private and was discharged as a corporal.

This would appear to to be the same Asa Reeves listed in Union County in 1830 and 1840.

Research Notes

There is a land patent record (Warrant No. 86,558) for Celia Reaves which describes her as the widow of Asa Reaves, Private in Captain Fawcetts (Faucett) Company in South Carolina during the War of 1812. This may be the widow of this Asa.
