Research Notes

Caleb Reeves disappears from Campbell County after 1831 and a Caleb Reeves then appears in Shelby County, Indiana in the 1840 census. Based upon the number, sex and estimated ages of the children in Caleb's 1830 household and that of the 1840 Shelby County household, this would appear to be the same person. A widowed Ann Reeves, born 1793 in Kentucky, also appears in Shelby County in the 1850 census with the five youngest children listed above. Older children who had already married and left home are not named.

A descendant of Caleb Reeves has participated in the Reeves' DNA Project at FtDNA and matches descendants of Walter Reeves of Burlington, New Jersey of DNA Group 20.
