Cassius Reeves went to the war from Vigo county and returned here after the war. A few years later he was placed in the county Infirmary as an insane patient. After a time he was sent to the State Hospital for the Insane and remained there seven or eight years. Then he was sent back to Vigo county as an incurable. A brother, who lived in Clay county, took him to his home and asked the court for guardianship papers. The court proceeding was not completed, but at the end of six months, the insane man became violent, and the brother sent him back to the county infirmary. Again he was sent to the State hospital, and again he was thrown back on Vigo county.

The article continues further about a court case involving the current guardian, a man named Robinson.
