Research Notes
Cletis graduated in 1948 from El Dorado Springs, Missouri. After school he was drafted into the Marine Corp. Where he served during the Korean war. In 1954 Cletis packed up his family and everything they owned in one car and move to the white salmon Washington area. There they raised all five children. Cletis worked as a millwright in the sawmills. After retiring he moved to Arkansas. In his younger years he enjoyed steelhead and salmon fishing on the Columbia river. He always grew a great garden. His roses in Washington state were the most beautiful roses in town. Along with all his other flowers. Cletis is buried in the Hazel Dell cemetery in Cedar county Missouri.Sources
