David A. Reeves of Suffield, Connecticut is named as a brother in the will of John T. Reeves of New York City. We know from John's will they also had brothers named R Theodore Reeves and William Reeves. David and both of his wives are buried in the Old Center Cemetery in Suffield.

The marriage record for David and Sophia state that David's father was Matthew Reeves. Connecticut birth records contain the birth dates for all of David's children.
