The family is described as 1 male 20-29, 1 male 50-59, 1 female 20-29 and 1 female 50-59 in the 1830 census of the Southern Division of Franklin County and the surname is spelled John "Simonus".
Milton is the only documented child of Delilah and John Simonus for he is named in the 1841 will of her brother James Reeves as his nephew and received several bequests; however, Basil Semones with whom the widowed 80 year old John Semones is living in the 1850 census and also in the 1860 census of Franklin County, Kentucky is undoubtedly another son.
