Narrative

Ellen was the tenth known child of Samuel and Mary. She was born at Staplewood Farm on 22 May 1839 and baptised in the name of Helen at the Parish Church of St Mary The Virgin, Eling on 23 June 1839. However, her birth is registered in the name of Ellen appearing on FreeBMD in 2q 1839 (New Forest Reg. Dist. vol 8 page 187)

Louisa is found on the 1841 and 1851 census returns living in her parents home at Staplewood Farm.

Nothing is known of her later life.
