Narrative

Francis is the third known child of Samuel Reeves and Eliza (nee Shelley) and he was baptised at Downton, Wiltshire on 6 July 1834.

Francis, also recorded as Frank, has been identified on the 1841, 1851 and 1861 census returns.

On the 1841 and 1861 returns he is to be found living with his parents and siblings.

On the 1851 census Frank is recorded as a Visitor in the household of Ambros Shelley, who is probably a close relative of his mother, Eliza nee Shelley.

He has yet to be identified on the 1871, 1881 and 1891 census returns and there is no suitable match in the Death Registers between 1861 and 1891. There is a possible Death Registration entry in the September quarter of 1895 for a Frank aged 61 in the New Forest Registration District.
