Samuel and his wife Eliza have been identified on the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871 & 1881 census returns. They have eleven known children including

Samuel and Eliza Shelley were married on 26 December 1829 at Downton. IGI Extracted Record

It is probable that Samuel died in 2q1890; FreeBMD has a strong match in terms of a Samuel Reeves, aged 83 who's death was registered in the Alderbury Registration District which includes Redlynch.

On the 1841 census Samuel lives five households away from John Reeves and his family. Their relationship is unknown at this time.
