There is a marriage license for Henry Reeves and Rachel Jess, both of Northampton, dated 2 Mar 1765.

The family Bible of daughter Sarepta reveals that Rachel, wife of Henry, was the daughter of David and Ruth Jess.

Joel and Abraham Reeves were the administrators of Henry Reeves. A division of land in Northampton, Burlington County was made to the heirs on 11 Sep 1809. The plat shows a graveyard next to all the property.

Research Notes

The family Bible of Sarepta Reeves states that Henry was the son of Abraham and Abigail Reeves. However, numerous genealogies state he was the son of Henry Reves and Abigail Shinn. Further research is needed to determine what is correct. It's interesting to note that the quaker records included above spells the last name "Reves" which Henry Reves also did in his will.
