The quaker death entry states he was age 58 and a resident of Mt. Holly. In his will, he describes himself as of Northampton, Burlington County. He names his wife Mary, children Elwood, Isaac, Henry, Rebecca, Joseph, Anna, Stacy, Rachel and Mary Reeves. He names his brother Zachariah Reeves as executor.

At his residence near Mount Holly on Wednesday the 3d inst., Abraham Reeves, a respectable member of the Society of Friends; aged about 58 years.
The widow Mary died 27 Mar 1838. John and Arthur Matlack were the administrators of her estate. A short inventory of her estate was made 6 Apr 1838.
