After an illness of about four weeks at his home, 90 Franklin st, there closed that forenoon the life of Henry Reeves, aged 85 years and three months. Mr. Reeves had resided in this city for nearly 20 years, coming from the old homestead farm in Limerick. He had spent the greater part of his life in this county, by his business integrity and sterling character winning the esteem of a large number of acquaintances. Mr Reeves spent several seasons sailing on the lakes, having been a captain. Later he devoted his time to farming, retiring from active work when he came to this city.
Mr. Reeves is survived by two daughters, Mrs. A.T. Sargent of this city and Mrs. John Markle of Limerick, and two sons, F.H. Reeves of the town of Brownville, and James E. Reeves of this city.
The funeral will be held from the home Wednesday forenoon at 10:30 and burial will be made in the North Watertown Cemetery.
