Children of James Reeves:An 1805 deed to Joseph Bowen with his grandsons Stephen and William (son of James) as grantors refers land that "became the right of the said Stephen and William Reeves by virtue of the last will and testament of their father James Reeve deceased dated the tenth day of November Anno Domini 1800 the first mentioned piece of land the said James Reeves bought of and from his father James Reevs by deed dated the (blank)...the last mentioned lot the said James Reeves bought of and from George Hickner by deed dated the fifth day of February Anno Domini 1790." In another deed to Bacon Bowen by the same brothers, it refers to land in the will of "their father James Reeves deceased dated the tenth day of November Anno Domini 1800. One part of said plantation or tract of land the said James Reeves Bought of his Father James Reeves be deed dated the .. day of .. Anno Domini 1789, the remainder the said James Reeves bought of and from his Brother Samuel Reeves by deed dated the third day of February Anno Domini 1791."
