The inventory of James Reeves is dated 24 Nov 1800 and was made by Benjamin Thompson and Samuel Kay. Benjamin was also the guardian for the son William.
Widow Rachel appears to be the Rachel, age 70-80, living in Salem County in 1830.
An 1805 deed to Joseph Bowen refers to his sons selling land that "became the right of the said Stephen and William Reeves by virtue of the last will and testament of their father James Reeve deceased dated the tenth day of November Anno Domini 1800 the first mentioned piece of land the said James Reeves bought of and from his father James Reevs by deed dated the (blank)...the last mentioned lot the said James Reeves bought of and from George Hickner by deed dated the fifth day of February Anno Domini 1790." In another deed to Bacon Bowen by the same brothers, it refers to land in the will of "their father James Reeves deceased dated the tenth day of November Anno Domini 1800. One part of said plantation or tract of land the said James Reeves Bought of his Father James Reeves be deed dated the .. day of .. Anno Domini 1789, the remainder the said James Reeves bought of and from his Brother Samuel Reeves by deed dated the third day of February Anno Domini 1791."
In a deed from 1806, Stephen Reeves & Elizabeth his wife, and William Reeves and Isabel his wife, and Rachel widow of James Reeves sold more land they had received by will "from their Father James Reeves Junr Decd."
