Narrative
In 1801, William petitioned the court for a guardian. The bond stated describes him as "William Reeves an infant of the Age of Fourteen Years and upwards son of James Reeves late of the County of Salem deceased..." This was dated 18 Jan 1801. He made choice of Benjamin Thompson as his guardian (Will Records 2437Q).In a deed from 1806, Stephen Reeves & Elizabeth his wife, and William Reeves and Isabel his wife, and Rachel widow of James Reeves sold more land they had received by will "from their Father James Reeves Junr Decd."
William and his wife Isabella were living in Upper Alloways Creek, Salem County in 1811 when they and his brother Stephen sold more land from their father's estate.
