Children of James W. Reeves:- John D. Reeves
- James F. Reeves
Juliet Reeves, widow, & Felix Renick were granted administration on the estate of James W. Reeves on 9 May 1831 in Callaway County, Missouri. Boone Hays is mentioned as Guardian for Emily Boone, but other than that, the probate records make no mention of possible children.
There is one deed from 1834 in which Felix Renick and Juliet Reeves, now citizens of Ross County, Ohio, sold the estate land of James W. Reeves. The deed was acknowledged in court in Pickaway County, Ohio. (DB D, p286) As James Reeves of Callaway County, Missouri, he had bought land there in 1830 from William Buchanan of Callaway County.
According to a probate packet from Ross County, Juliet Reeves was made guardian of John D. Reeves and James F. Reeves in 1832. Juliet later remarried to a Mr. Miller.
Nathan Reeves held bond on James's estate. The will of Nathan's widow Nancy names James Reeves as a son of hers.
