Jesse sold some land in 1816 in Barnwell District, South Carolina. His wife Judy/Judith relinquished dower in the deed. There was also a witness named John Reeves. This may be John Reeves who appears in the census in Barnwell County in 1830. It may also be the John Reeves who sold land to William Foster there in 1809.The deed refers to a grant made to Jesse Reeves in 1810. The SC Archives has a plat for 183 on King Creek, Barnwell District to Jesse Reaves dated 26 Jul 1810. He is also mentioned as owning adjacent land in a plat for Barnet Cohen in 1811, also on King Creek.
