Research Notes
John Henry Reeves Jr is the grandson of Thornberry Reeves. The fact that several documents, specifically his obituary refers to him as John Henry Reeves Jr. certainly leads credence that his father is John Henry Reeves Sr. However, there is no proof that his father John Reeves was ever known as John Henry Reeves Sr. John Henry Reeves Jr is the great-grandson of John Reeves b. 1775, Wake County, North Carolina and died in 1854, Taylor County, Kentucky.John Reeves of Taylor County, Kentucky has been the subject of much research as to whom his father is. DNA Group 09 analyzes and classification makes a strong connection to George Reeves d. 1775, Wake County, North Carolina leaving two orphans, Mary and John Reeves. To see the theory proposed by Beverly Watson read her post or blog entitled Just Supposin' and Just Supossin' Again. Until an absolutely supporting document can be located the inferential evidence is to overwhelming to ignore that George Reeves of Wake County, North Carolina is the father of John Reeves, Taylor County, Kentucky.
