John Robert Reeves was the third of nine children born to Newton A Reeves and Eliza Jane Plunkett. Birthdate shown is from WWI draft record and grave marker, some census records show birth month as September. He married Izora Valora Hawes in Paducah, McCracken, KY, USA, on 02 Nov 1899. In 1900, the couple was living with Eliza's grandparents in Carlisle Co, KY. Shortly after this, John Robert became a minister, and for the next few decades, the family moved to various states to start new churches before settling in the Denver, CO area in 1942. Census reports show the family in St. James, Mississippi, MO, USA in 1910, Leesville, Vernon, LA, USA in 1920, and Centralia, Lewis, WA, USA in 1930. According to city directories, the family was in Boise, ID, USA in 1934, and had moved to Fort Wayne, Allen, IN, USA by 1935, and remained there for the 1940 census. His first wife Izora died of cancer in 1949, and around 1950. John married Sarah Campbell. After Sarah passed away, John married Nellie Tull abt. 1960, and remained married to her until his death in 1965.
