Living next door to mother in 1850. Census puts birth around 1821, so headstone is probably incorrect. Death certificate of Luke Reeves names parents as Joseph Reeves and Sarah M. Duke and so confirms this is the connection between Joseph in Georgia and Texas.

Research Note

Previously thought to be the Joseph Reeves listed in the DeKalb County, Georgia 1840 Census. However, this has been identified as Joseph Henry Reeves son of Malachi Reeves.
