Children of Joseph M. Reeves and Statira B.:

Joseph M. Reeves appears in tax lists in Cuyahoga County, Ohio 1823-1825. A James Reeves is also listed next to him several of the years with the same amounts listed in the record as Joseph.

Although very difficult to read, Joseph M. Reeves is listed as head of household in the 1830 census in Portage County, Ohio, age 30-40. There appear to be a wife, two boys and two young girls in the household, probably his children.

In 1840, Statira Reeves is listed as head of household, age 40-50. There is a man age 40-50 in the household as well who may be Joseph, but it is odd that she would be listed as head of household in that case. There are also two boys and two girls in the household.

In November term 1851, the widow declined administration on Joseph's estate and it was granted to Gideon B. Reeves.

The family Bible of his son Gideon names Joseph and Statira as the parents.
