Research Notes

There is no definitive proof that Lucinda C. Brazzell married James C. Brazzell in Alabama circa 1855 where both were recorded in the 1850 census of Paulding County, Georgia. By 1870, they are listed in Lafayette County, Arkansas with 3 children, one of which Derrell Hampton Brazzell was born 1856 in Alabama. It appears that after the death of Lucinda's mother Bethany Mayfield Reeves, she married James C. Brazzell and they migrated first to Arkansas and then Texas where several of her brothers were located.
