Narrative

Lucy was born in 1812 in Ilfracombe, Devon to William Reeves and Bridget. She was their first child and was baptised on 30 November 1812.
In 1841 she is with her mother and two of her younger sisters, Mary Anne and Eliza, on the High Street in Ilfracombe.
Later that year, on 16 September, she married Rev John Cook in Ilfracombe. He was 26 years older than her. He was Rector of Ockley in Surrey and they moved there and are shown on the 1851 census living at the Rectory. John died in 1864.
