Minutes of the Court from Smith County, mentions the distribution of goods to the children of Moses Reeves after a complaint by his son John. John agreed that the goods should be divided among his sisters and brothers, "who are the legal distributees of Moses Reeves deceased." But it states that "complainant Ann Reeves, widow as aforesaid of Moses Reeves deceased is not entitled." It then lists out advancements made by Moses during his life to his children. It lists Eliza A. Glass, Amanda, Mann, Nancy C. Boulton, Fannie O. Thomas, William Reeves, Mary Walker, and John Reeves as receiving these advancements.


Research Notes

It should be noted that Reliques incorrectly links this family through William Reeves to Moses Rives. It also must be noted that this is not the same individual as Moses G. Reeves who lived in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
