Narrative
Robert S. Reeves received land patents from the U.S. Land Office at St. Stephens beginning on 15 Dec 1830 for 80 acres in Greene County, Alabama. On 27 Feb 1841, he received 4 patents from the office in Columbus for approximately 350 acres in Winston County, Mississippi.The only census record of Robert is the 1853 Mississippi Census of Winston County in which there are only two listed in the household, 1 male and 1 female. Note: Ancestry has incorrectly transcribed this census as 1 male over 16, 1 male under 16 and 2 females (see attached). He is not listed in any other census records of Alabama or Mississippi.
From census records of Logan County, Kentucky, it does not appear that Robert and Jennett Reeves had children. Also, Robert Reeves' will probated in October of 1872 mentions no heirs other than Jennette E. Reeves.
