On 26 Apr 1796, Elizabeth Reaves (widow of Thomas) married Elias Simons in Guilford County. Bondsman was Henry Billings and Henry Manship, witness. From: North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868.
In the 1800 census of Guilford County, Elias Simmons appears as head of a family in Guilford Co, NC census, page 650. Enumerated are M26-45, F26-45, M10-16, M<10, F<10 plus another F26-45. They are close neighbors to Richard Burton and Richard Burton Jr.
Elizabeth Simons, a widow, is found in the 1820 Wilkes County, Georgia census with younger children born during her marriage to Elias Simons. Sons Thomas and Richard Reeves had also relocated to Wilkes County.
