Narrative

Thomas Reeves is most likely the child of Henry Reeves, son of Thomas Reeves, Sr. formerly of Essex County who died in Spotsylvania County in 1760. Henry Reeves estate was admitted to probate by granting an administrator's bond on the same date, 6 May 1760, that his father, Thomas Reeves, Sr.'s, was.

Thomas was bound as an apprentice breeches maker to John Forman of Spotsylvania County in 1763 and again in 1768 bound to William Blyth as an apprentice breeches maker until the age of twenty-one. The 1768 document states that Thomas was at that time about 15 years of age.
