Research Note
No record of Ira Reeves in Iredell County, North Carolina has currently been located other than the will of his grandfather William Rives and a note his William's estate file that names him as a son of Hansel Reeves. He was apparently still a minor and too young to be listed as a head of household in the 1840 census. Ira's children and their mother are listed in the 1850 household of John Rinehart who Ira's widow married in 1849.Sources
