Bratton baptisms record the following entry:
Horatio Nelson Reeves son of Thomas Reeves & Hannah his wife born September 9th & Baptized December 1st 1805

In 1841, he was living in his paternal grandfather Thomas's household. At the time of the census on 30 March 1851, he was living with a maternal aunt named Patience Wing on Exeter Street, in Salisbury, Wiltshire. See Research Note 1 below.

Vincent Reeves came to New York on the ship Belona in 1851. The list states he was age 20 and a smith by trade.

He and Ida are buried in Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Son Nelson's death record states mother's maiden name.

Research Notes

(1)   The identify of Patience Wing has yet to be confirmed. It is possible she is the Patience SANDY who married Vincent Wing in April 1803 at the Parish Church of St Andrew, Holborn, City of London, although her age in 1851 (65, so born c 1786) would make her young if this is the same individual. It is therefore possible that Martha is the daughter of Vincent Wing and Patience, who was baptised in April 1812 at Westbury, but further research is needed as given names are often reused within families.
