Research Notes

(1) No direct evidence has yet been found that William Henry Reeves is the son of Charles & Lucy Reeves. But the evidence seems very likely for the following reasons:
(a) his marriage bond states that he was from Dartmouth;
(b) he was security for John Wisdom Reeves marriage bond in 1825;
(c) two of his children were named Charles & Lucy;
(d) his birth date places him as having been born after Charles & Lucy married;
(e) another William Reeves in the area married in 1824, and is the son of William Henry Reeves' uncle John; this William was born about 1796, before Charles and Lucy's marriage.
