Charles was baptized to parents William & Ann Reeves in 1779, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. (1)
He married his wife, Lucy Wisdom in 1800, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. (2) He died at age 76 in Waverley, Nova Scotia. (6)

Charles and his wife, Lucy had at least nine children (3) and probably more. Their known children are as follows:

  2. John Wisdom Reeves (1804-1865)
  3. Elizabeth Reeves (1804-1899)
  4. Lucy Reeves (1808)
  5. Charles Edward Reeves (1812-1830)
  6. Mary Reeves (1813-1834)
  7. Edward S. Reeves (1816-1883)
  8. Sarah Ann Reeves (1826)
  9. Harriet Reeves (1827-1868)

Charles worked as a manufacturer (3) and farmer (5). He is one of the earlier settlers of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and had land in the Porto Bello area, around Lake Charles. (3), (5) Unconfirmed sources suggest he also operated a sawmill in that area in 1815.
